Is 20th Century Fox getting confident about Knight and Day? Well, I'm already impressed with the film's trailers (one shown below and more here), and I'm thinking that Tom Cruise's approval rating has been spiking thanks to his involvement at the MTV Movie Awards.
Knight and Day Arriving Early
Knight and Day is getting pushed forward two days to June 23rd, a Wednesday before its originally intended release of Friday, June 25th. While the move gives the film a couple days before they have to compete with another comedic wide release, Fox also has other reasoning for the push.
"It gives us a little bit of a jump on the weekend and the opportunity to get word-of-mouth going," Fox domestic distribution president Bruce Snyder said Monday. "We want to let people know how wonderful this picture is."
With all the positive buzz leading into the film's release, this push just might work (very well).
