The Bourne Ultimatum
The Bourne Ultimatum is going to have a sequel. Yes, we were told this a long time ago, but now Universal Pictures has resurfaced to confirm that they are making progress on the project. The only catch is that Bourne might no longer be Matt Damon. Wha?!
Fourth Jason Bourne Confirmed
Universal has hired Tony Gilroy to write what is currently being called The Bourne Legacy. If you remember, it was Gilroy who wrote all of the previous three installments, and they've all turned out being pretty dang good.
All indicators suggest that Matt Damon will not reprise his role as Jason Bourne, having stated on record that he will not return unless director Paul Greengrass follows up helming the last two Bourne films with a new outing.
Well boohoo. It might be better for him anyway, as this Bourne installment is looking to be some sort of stepping stone for character spin-offs. If we all remember the disaster called Blade: Trilogy, these "stepping stones" really don't work.
