Do Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum make a good couple? Eh, I can see it, and so can Spyglass Entertainment. The studio has picked up the two to star in The Vow.

Directed by Michael Sucsy off a script he'll polish up, The Vow is based on a true story about a young woman who loses all recent memory in a car accident and struggles to rebuild her identity. Story of the couple -- Kim and Krickitt Carpenter -- dates from 1993, two months after their marriage, when their car was hit from behind by a truck.
Though Tatum has done well with action (and dancing) films, he has recently shown his softer side with Dear John. But don't fret action fans, he'll be back to the genre with Eagle of the Ninth; hitting theaters early 2011.
The Vow is expected to enter production this August in Chicago and Toronto.
