Joseph Gordon-Levitt will receive the company of Michael Shannon, who has been cast as the villain in Premium Rush. But I'm just not feeling the match. Two dudes. No hottie. Not working. So Columbia Pictures is hoping to add some serious eye candy with Jamie Chung, who is currently in negotiations to play the female lead.
Michael Shannon and Jamie Chung Contemplating Premium Rush
I know that it is Michael Shannon who's landed the role while Chung continues to negotiate, but her photos just came out better; hence the use of one of hers below. But I digress...
Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Premiere Rush centers on a New York bike messenger (Gordon-Levitt) who picks up an envelope at Columbia University, only to be chased throughout the city by a dirty cop desperate to get his hands on it. Shannon plays the deceptively affable cop with a violent temper. Chung would play Gordon-Levitt's ex, a fellow daredevil bike messenger who helps him outwit the cop.
David Koepp will direct off a script he wrote with John Kamps.
