It looks like Sean Penn is done hanging out with his family, as he's decided to return to film with a surf biopic based on surfing icon Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz.

The film might not yet have a title, it does have Sean Penn. While the actor is only on board to produce at the moment, he might upgrade his status to star soon enough. As we've learned from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Penn has a soft spot for surfing.
If the surfer sounds familiar to you, then you either surf or have seen the documentary Surfwise, which followed Paskowitz and his family through part of their nomadic beach existence. Paskowitz became a cult hero for abandoning a successful medical practice and hitting the road in a camper with his wife and nine children. Family founded the first surf camp in the continental U.S.
