Ian McKellen
Ian McKellen is always a force to be reckoned with on the bigscreen. With films such as Lord of the Rings and X-Men under his belt, the refined actor could easily jump aboard any project and require the entire cast call him "Sir".
It just so happens that McKellen's voice is as strong as his acting, helping him land a role in Matthew Vaughn's upcoming romantic fantasy Stardust.
Ian McKellen to Narrate Stardust
Paramount Pictures has picked up Ian McKellen to voice the narrator role in Stardust.
The film, which boasts a cast including Claire Danes, Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and Charlie Cox, wrapped production in the fall. Since all McKellen has to do is provide his voice, the actor will record his part during postproduction.
Based on Neil Gaiman's novel, Stardust centers on a young man who promises his beloved that he will retrieve a fallen star by venturing into the Faerie realm, where he encounters witches, goblins, gnomes, talking animals and evil trees. Gaiman's fairy tale debuted in 1997 as a four-issue DC Comics miniseries with illustrations by Charles Vess. It was published as a single book the following year.
Stardust opens to theatres on July 27th.
