Who to be Megatron: Hugo Weaving or Frank Welker?
Robert tells us that multiple studio sources have confirmed that Frank Welker was stepping in to take the job of voicing Megatron. But, with such a giant tentpole, Welker was bound to meet some competition. Who could possibly voice such an important character? How about one of the most notorious voices in Hollywood -- Hugo Weaving!
Hugo Weaving has been a strong addition in blockbusters such as Lord of the Rings, The Matrix and V for Vendetta. Yes, the guy looks good, but that voice! So here he is again, ready to take on yet another big character.
Though Hugo Weaving is always a guarantee, it turns out that the fans do have some sway on Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg. The fans rallied for Peter Cullen and he got the gig, and it is they who also rallied for Frank Welker. So who will become Megatron's voice? Tough call. Who do you want?
