Back early December we were told that Timothy Olyphant was in the process of signing a contract with Fox to take the lead in the upcoming adaptation of Hitman. It turns out that this report was 'exaggerated', with Olyphant claiming that he has only had 'conversations' on the role of Agent 47.
Timothy Olyphant Talks Hitman
Though he isn't confirmed yet, it is hard not to like the idea of Timothy Olyphant returning to his alter-sob-ego with the arrival of Agent 47. The only problem Fox may have with the actor is that he is unproven hairless. Olyphant has the looks now, but can he pull off being bald without sending chuckles through the audience?
In an interview with IGN, the guy who brought us Seth "Montana" Bullock in Deadwood and young porn king, Kelly, in The Girl Next Door, explains that his involvement in Hitman is still only an idea.
"I don't think I've ever been officially attached to it, contrary to the Internet," Olyphant said. "It sounds pretty cool. I've seen the pictures. I've never played the game. It looks cool. Lord knows. Who knows what I'll look like when this hair comes off. It's a major concern."
Olyphant can next be seen in the thriller sequel Live Free or Die Hard. Maybe he can get some pointers from John McClane. Yippee Kai Yay Mother F*@ker!
