Upon receiving an image of Venom from 'derek' for Spider-Man 3 I had a major flash of deja vu. Hadn't I seen this image before? I have been wracking my brain and I still can't draw upon the memory, but hopefully our readers can give us some insight on where this might have once existed.

Below is what looks to be one of the first high definition images of Venom thanks to 'derek'. We haven't confirmed anything yet, but it is still damn cool to look at.

Update: It turns out that this image is not exactly new. Thanks to letters from Bradley, Brendon, Daniel and Scott, we have come to the origins of the picture. I wrote AICN earlier today to see if
they had seen the picture before and, in a chance of irony, it turns out that this is where the Venom image (above) most likely originated (before being pulled down). Film Ick reposted the image claiming that it was a 'character design' for Venom. A damn good one.
