After you direct a movie like The Illusionist, people tend to throw work at you. Neil Burger, the aforementioned director is set to direct an untitled pitch purchased by Universal Pictures.

The story takes a look at the reaction that organized crime takes in the midst of a law-enforcement crackdown due to terrorist attacks. With the heavy hand of the police disallowing all types of crime, the mob has its hands tied so they decide to work together to find the terrorists. Just think ‘24’ + ‘The Sopranos’. I know, I know…why didn’t we think of that?
