Thanks to 'Shawn', we have received quite the double-update for the upcoming sci-fi thriller from Fox Searchlight, Sunshine. After getting a trailer preview way back in June, we now have the official preview along with what looks to be a draft of the Sunshine poster.
Sunshine Trailer
Fifty years from now, the sun is dying, and mankind is dying with it. Our last hope: a spaceship and a crew of eight men and women. They carry a device which will breathe new life into the star. But deep into their voyage, out of radio contact with Earth, their mission is starting to unravel. There is an accident, a fatal mistake, and a distress beacon from a spaceship that disappeared seven years earlier. Soon the crew is fighting not only for their lives, but their sanity.
Any film that revolves around the possible extinction of mankind is pretty intense; take Children of Men for example. Throw in close quarters and one freakin' hot sun and prepare for some serious cabin fever. What, do these people look calm to you?

I am not sure how I feel about the music from Clint Mansell -- you may recognize it from The Two Towers trailer -- but the visuals in Danny Boyle's Sunshine are quite compelling.
Sunshine was supposed to open to theatres on
March 16th, now all we know is spring or 'coming soon'.
