Sony Screen Gems has picked up Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington to star in the upcoming thriller Lakeview Terrace. Overbrook Entertainment partners James Lassiter and Will Smith will produce.
Jackson, Washington for Lakeview Terrace
Now that Samuel L. Jackson has got the Snakes out of his system, he has returned to smaller films, meaning less hyped, such as Lakeview Terrace.
Written by scribe David Loughery, Lakeview tells the story of an interracial couple who move into a new home, but the dream house turns into a nightmare when they are taunted by their next-door neighbor, a tightly wound, racist LAPD officer.
Overbrook has added Lakeview Terrace to their next-to-do list right after Tonight, He Comes, a Peter Berg-directed film starring Smith and Charlize Theron. The production company recently experienced success with Will Smith's Pursuit of Happyness.
Lakeview Terrace is expected to enter production this May.
