Surfer
In a recent interview with DailyBulletin, Julian McMahon took some time to discuss his upcoming thriller Premonition and then moved on to give some new insight on what we can expect from Dr. Doom, who has been wasting away hours stored solid in a cargo container.
"Two years have passed for Doom, trapped in this casket," McMahon says. "Needless to say, he's not happy."
He's also not the only bad guy, competing with the powerful master of energy, the Silver Surfer (Doug Jones, who plays Pan and the Pale Man in "Pan's Labyrinth"). Doom being Doom, he doesn't want to play nice. He wants to take the Surfer's powers.
"Doom hasn't changed he still wants to rule the world and kill the Fantastic Four," McMahon says. "He's a simple man, really. The great thing is, we don't have to waste any time establishing his character. You get the bad guy from the beginning. It's great demonic, cartoony stuff."
Cartoony stuff? It was this same 'stuff' that hurt the first installment. More villains means more action, however, so that's a good thing.
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer opens to theatres
on June 15th, 2007.
