David Koepp
Columbia Pictures must have really enjoyed their recent 'first look' of Spider-Man 3,
because shortly after the studio execs opened up negotiations with script David Koepp to pen the script for the fourth installment.
Columbia Negotiates for Another Spidy Installment from David Koepp
David Koepp is one popular guy. Having recently been given credit for getting the fourth installment of Indiana Jones off the ground, the writer is now being sought out to keep the Spider-Man franchise alive. Though none of the major cast is signed on for another installment, a good script could change all that. Well, that and a pay boost.
Koepp will be stepping into the franchise, whose writing credits belong to Alvin Sargent for the second and third installments.
The addition of David Koepp is just one of the first steps to get Spider-Man 4 off the ground. Next comes the increased price tag to get Maguire, Dunst, Franco and Raimi to return.
Spider-Man 3 opens to theatres on May 4th, 2007.
