Queen Latifah
Thelma & Louise scribe, Callie Khouri, has a new project that she's looking to direct. Finding success with two lead actresses in Thelma, she is now looking to Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes.
Holmes, Latifah for Mad Money
Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes are in negotiations to star in Mad Money, a project being financed by Nu Millennium and Granada.
Written by Glenn Gers, the script is based off the British film Hot Money, which concerns three female employees of the Federal Reserve who plot to steal money that is about to be destroyed.
Khouri gave the script her own personal touches. Whether this means the death of all three ladies by the end of the film (through suicide no doubt) is yet to be known.
The third actress is not cast.
Holmes has recently returned from maternity leave and has dropped out of The Dark Night (what?!). Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Heath Ledger are still on the project, set to enter production this spring.
