Katie Holmes
Just in case you didn't read the fine print with the Mad Money article, it has been confirmed that Katie Holmes will not return to the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight.
No Holmes for The Dark Knight
Variety confirmed that Holmes was off the project today after the actress recently returned from maternity leave. Why did Holmes decide it better if she not return? According to Holmes' spokeswoman who talked to The Wall Street Journal, reprinted at SHH, it all came down to a lack of communication and scheduling.
"We never got to the negotiating stage" for the film, said Julie Polkes, Holmes' representative. "Katie was offered ["Dark Knight"] but was unable to accept the role because of scheduling conflicts. She was in the process of negotiating for another project.
To be honest, Holmes return was not exactly that important. She already denied Bruce her love in the last installment, so no sense keeping her around. Unless of course Bruce Wayne has a fetish for blue balls.
