AskMen.com, the Internet’s #1 lifestyle site for men and one of the premier sites in the Fox Interactive Media (FIM) network, today unveiled its 7th annual Top 99 Most Desirable Women list, brought to readers by returning sponsor Budweiser Select. AskMen.com readers cast a record number of online votes this year – more than 8.5 million – to name the women who best embody the qualities of a “fantasy girlfriend.” Beyoncé Knowles, the famous singer turned actress, is the #1 Most Desirable Woman of 2007. Screen star Scarlett Johansson is the runner-up and actress Jessica Alba, last year’s #1 Most Desirable Woman, rounds out the top three.
AskMen credits Beyoncé for her ability to sell millions of albums, though most could admit that it took Dreamgirls to sell the singer-slash-actress to moviegoing audiences across the globe. I knew she was pretty, but Dreamgirls makes her look downright, uh, is there a bigger word than beautiful? Stunning, maybe?
Unsure about AskMen's decision to place Beyoncé at the top of the list? If they had done so last week, I would have agreed with you. Do yourself a favor and go see Dreamgirls. Not only is it a great film but, like I said, Beyoncé should shine beyond your best expectations. You will also get to see the breakout performance from Jennifer Hudson, so kudos to that.
