Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Now that Daniel Radcliffe is in the buff, JK Rowling figured she might as well get Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on store shelves sooner than later. Well, not really, but Scholastic has been pushing/begging the author to get the book out by this summer... and so she will!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Huge July for all of us Potterites. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix comes to theatres on July 13th and, just when Potter fever is at a high, Scholastic will release the final book in the Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to store shelves on:
July 21st
Here is the update from JK Rowling's official site:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be published on Saturday 21st July 2007 at 00:01 BST in the UK and USA. It will also be released at 00:01 BST on Saturday 21st July in other English speaking countries around the world.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
It was predicted that the seventh book would be released on 7-7-07. With the release so close, I am surprised that JK Rowling and Scholastic didn't do it this way; talk about a date nobody would forget. Not that anybody forgets the release of a Potter book anyway.
Scholastic, who has been hurting financially, plans to sell Deathly Hallows for a million dollars a copy. Not really, though they would probably still find some buyers. Instead, the publisher has announced that the hardback edition would sell for a price of $34.99 and the deluxe edition for $65.00.
Our prediction: Deathly Hallows to sells 14 million copies in the first day.
We still hope that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
will hit shelves on 7-21-07.
