Just because Warden Pope got fired for his involvement in the Prison Break doesn't mean actor Stacy Keach has been forgotten. The writers have found a way to bring Keach back onto the show in an upcoming episode.
Interview: Stacy Keach On His Return to Prison Break
"I’m no longer the warden but now I’m an accomplice," said Keach. "I was a little nervous about it to begin with because I wasn’t sure what was going to happen, but Michael Scofield’s powers of persuasion that he convinces me at the point of a gun that he’s innocent.
Keach's episode should air in another three weeks, and promises to resolve some of the issues between Pope and Michael. "We get to resolve at least I know he’s telling the truth," said Keach.
Of course, coming back to Prison Break always brings with it some risk. "I called the producers and said, 'Do you think Henry Pope will be coming back for any future episodes?' He said, 'Look, man, in Prison Break, as long as you’re breathing, there’s a good chance we’ll bring you back so we can kill you.'"
There are other characters who have issues with Pope, so hopefully they'll at least keep him around to deal with Bellick, now locked up in his own old stomping grounds. "I don't know if there’s going to be interaction. That’s a good idea. Maybe the writers should pick that up."
