Kate Bosworth
Though she is still dancing around Superman to win the comeback superhero's affections, Bosworth is not forgetting to branch out. The actress is in talks with Columbia Pictures to star in not one but two new feature films. And, if that's not enough, she has acquired her own project to serve as a starring vehicle.
Kate Bosworth for Untitled Blackjack and After.Life
Bosworth is first in talks to join an untitled blackjack movie once titled 21. The film will star Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishburne and Jim Sturgess in a story revolving around a team of brilliant math students at MIT organized by an unscrupulous professor (Spacey) who become crack card counters at blackjack tables in Las Vegas. They rake in millions until the operation comes crashing down.
Bosworth will play an unsuspecting geek who joins the team.
Production on "Once Titled 21" will begin this March in Las Vegas and Boston.
After.Life will have Bosworth play the title role as a young woman in a transitional state between life and death who fights to avoid being buried alive by the funeral director who holds her fate in his hands. F*@ked up, I know.
Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo wrote the script will also direct.
After.Life is scheduled to enter production some time this year.
Since there is more money in producing the films in which you star, Bosworth has also acquired the rights to Hanrahan's Lost Girls and Love Hotels. A starring vehicle for the actress, Lost Girls centers on a woman doing everything in her power to forget her past while working in Tokyo as an English specialist at an Air-Pro Stewardess Training Institute by day while losing herself in a sex- and drug-addled oblivion by night.
Bosworth is currently looking for a scribe to adapt the book.
