Actor who will soon lose his pants in Wild Hogs, William H Macy, is looking to make his directorial debut with Keep Coming Back. He's off to a good start with Salma Hayek already selected to topline.
Macy, Hayek for Keep Coming Back
Scritped by scribe Will Aldis, Keep Coming Back is a coming-of-age drama about a teenage boy with a weak heart and sheltered life who discovers new horizons when he becoming infatuated with an alcoholic ex-stripper. Hayek tried out for the role of boy, but was obviously a better fit for stripper.
Besides Hayek, Macy has found other talent in Mos Def, Steve Buscemi and himself. Yes, he plans to pull a Tarantino and have a role in his own film.
ContentFilm's Jamie Carmichael had this to say on Macy:
Having worked with William H. Macy on Thank You For Smoking, The Cooler— and even on Transamerica where he was an exec producer — we feel that he belongs to us! So we just had to have his directorial debut.
Filming for Keep Coming Back is expected to begin this July in Los Angeles.
