Dakota Fanning and Dan Radcliffe are currently in the same boat. It would appear that both actors are working overtime to help clear their "look at me, I'm so adorable" images. Dan Radcliffe is going nude in Equus and Dakota Fanning played a rape victim in Hounddog. A film that brought a ton of attention to Sundance might I add.
Fanning isn't stopping there, however, as she will now go nude! Just kidding, but she and her sister will try their hands (all four of them) at being disabled.
Fanning Sisters for Hurricane Mary
When Arvin Brown set out for young actresses to play disabled twins in Hurricane Mary, he probably didn't know that he'd strike gold with the Fanning sisters. Both Dakota and Elle have signed up for the job -- no Parent Trap here -- in the true-life drama.
Hurricane Mary tells the true story of an Irish-American mother, played by Patricia Clarkson, who fought a long battle for the rights of her handicapped yet gifted daughters to have a public school education.
The cast will also include Chris Cooper, William H. Macy, Laura San Giacomo and Jordi Molla.
Alvin Brown will be making somewhat of a comeback, start over, try again debut with Hurricane Mary. As a TV director his credits include The Practice, The Closer and All McBeal. As a film director, his only previous feature was Diary of the Dead released way back in 1980.
Hurricane Mary will enter production this September in New York.
