February's Paramount DVD Preview
Family Ties – What took them so long to get to this TV on DVD no brainer? Admittedly, the first season with a beardless Steven Keaton still leaves us waiting for the good stuff, but it's the start of Alex's dominance of the family sitcom.
Beauty and the Beast – Ron Perlman has played many characters in heavy makeup, but his most famous is Vincent, the sewer beast from the TV version of the classic story. Before the Disney musical and before Linda Hamilton left to go all terminator, the first season is where the magic happens.
Babel – Nominated for so many awards, it's easy to assume that a more elaborate special edition is coming soon. But for getting it out in time for voters, and casual gamblers, to see it, this movie-only version is available.
Bullsh*t: The Complete Fourth Season – I would also think comedians like Penn and Teller would be able to put together some extras, but they generally haven't for their Showtime documentary show. Their cases against topics like The Death Penalty, Reparations, Manners and Abstinence are not as strong as previous seasons, but they're still fun to watch.
