Aaron Eckhart
After weeks of rumors Warner Bros has finally announced who will play Harvey Dent aka Two Face. Though I remember Two Face having dark hair, the very blonde Aaron Eckhart has landed the role of the District Attorney turned villain.
Hey, if it worked for Bond, it can work for a Batman villain.
Aaron Eckhart for The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight has found its villain. After charming my own intuitions and almost convincing me that smoking is the coolest thing since the HPV vaccine (Thank You For Smoking), Aaron Eckhart will use his charms to become Bruce Wayne's close friend. Only, of course, to ruin the friendship by going a bit crazy, getting scarred, finding a favorite coin, and becoming Two Face.
For those of you who never followed the Batman comics, Two Face is a present-day Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. His decisions, however, are based on the flip of a coin. Before turning to crime, Two Face worked as the District Attorney of Gotham City as Havey Dent, a close friend to Bruce and an ally to Batman. All things were looking up for Dent until a crime boss who Dent was prosecuting threw acid on him.
Though the acid did not affect Dent's mind and persona, his reflection did. After a period of anguish, Dent became Two Face.
The addition of Eckhart brings the total to Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman; Ledger and Eckhart being the new additions.
Christopher Nolan will return to the director's chair for The Dark Knight working under a script written by his brother Jonah Nolan.
Stay tuned for updates.
