Ghost Rider
Without good reason, Ghost Rider took the box office title for a second week in a row, taking in an estimated $19.7 million. Apparently, the thought of Nicholas Cage as an action hero has not scared humanity from the theaters at all; the movie was the highest grossing movie released on President’s Day weekend ($52 million).
Ghost Rider Takes Another Weekend BO
Jim Carrey’s psychological thriller, The Number 23 took the 2nd spot with $15.1 million. Rumor has it that the number 23 can be found by either multiplying, dividing, adding or subtracting any two numbers. Who knew?
Bridge to Terabithia grabbed the third spot in its 2nd weekend by raking in $13.6 million and bringing its two week total to $46.2 million.
The other new releases, Reno 911!: Miami and The Astronaut Farmer debuted at #4 ($10.4 million) and #9 ($4.5 million), respectively. Billy Bob Thornton building a rocket ship earned less than Music and Lyrics ($8 million)? Come on people!
