Spider-Man 3 Spider-Man 3
Though most of you are still probably enjoying the NBC clip for Spider-Man 3, we do have a few new semi-important updates on the franchise.

Spider-Man 3 Updates

Update 1- Oh Tobey:

The topic has been debated for some time, and it now looks like Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst are officially off of any future Spider-Man installments. According to Hollywood.Com, Maguire is ready to say goodbye (for good) to Spider-Man.

Maguire says, "To me it seems like this is a natural point for the team to break up because we have a lot of story conclusions that were going along for the main characters for the first two movies and we kind of tie almost everything up for the third movie.

"It feels like a trilogy to me and it feels like the end."

Don't lose hope just yet, as Sam Raimi is still pushing hard to dive even further into they psych of Spider-Man. With how much the franchise has made, expect a large sum to be offered to both actors.

He explains, "I love Spider-Man and I love working with Kirsten, Tobey, James (Franco)... I just have to make sure that when I'm done with Spider-Man 3, I'm really still fascinated with the character. At this moment I'm fascinated with him."

Update 2- Third Spidy has legs:

Avi Arad recently confirmed that the addition of multiple villains and foxy ladies will cause Spider-Man 3 to have a running time that easily shoots past two hours. If this really is the end, why not go out with a bang?

Update 3- Another Preview Tonight?:

I may be out of the loop on this one, but Yahoo! Movies already has a countdown clock running for some "new" Spider-Man 3 footage they plan to unveil tonight. Is it the trailer or are they taking over hosting responsibilities from MSN?

And that concludes the latest on Spider-Man 3!

Spider-Man 3 opens in the states on May 4th, 2007.

Stay tuned for updates.
