McConaughey has been picked up to star in, wait for it, Surfer, Dude.
McConaughey has had time to practice hanging ten while filming in Warner Bros' Fool's Gold over in the land down under. For Surfer, Dude, he will play a soulful surfer in existential crisis.
Platyone partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman have jumped on board to produce with McConaughey's j.k. livin' buddies Gus Gustawes and Mark Gustawes.
A domestic distributor will be sought out after the film has finished production.
McConaughey is also set to star in The Grackle, a comedy from j.k. livin'.
