I knew it! I won my bet. I told my friends that at least 300 people would see 300 this weekend!
Weekend Box Office Report
It was the biggest R-rated March opener in history and the third largest R-Rated opener ever. The film took in a staggering +$70 million over the weekend leaving the Persian-like competition in pieces. Coming in behind 300 was the comedy, Wild Hogs which saw its cume rise to $77.4 million after it took in another $28 million this weekend.
That movie that no one can pronounce, Bridge to Terabithia held on to the 3 spot and bringing its cume to $67 million. Somehow, people are still watching Ghost Rider as it took in another $6.8 million to bring its cume to $104.1 million.
Surprisingly, Zodiac has only taken in a paltry $23.7 million after 2 weeks.
