Though still under negotiation, it looks like the very-pretty Bryce Dallas Howard will be replacing the once-hottie Lindsay Lohan on the set of Tennessee Williams' The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond.
Bryce Dallas Howard for The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond
It was announced that Lindsay Lohan would lead a cast that includes Chris Evans, Ellen Burstyn, David Strathairn and Ann-Margret back in November of 2006. For unknown reasons, Production Weekly reports that Bryce Dallas Howard is now looking to replace Lohan as female lead.
The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond will mark the first time indie actress Jodie Markell gets behind a camera. The Tennessee Williams screenplay tells the story of Fisher Willow (Lohan), the disliked 1920s Memphis debutante daughter of a plantation owner with a distaste for narrow-minded people and a penchant for shocking and insulting those around her.
Caught up in a world of social conventions, Willow sees a chance for escape in Jimmy (Evans), the down-and-out-yet-handsome son of an alcoholic father who works on her family's plantation. Strathairn will play the alcoholic father.
