Robert Downey Jr. being directed by Ben Stiller? Now THAT’S comedy!
Robert Downey Jr., Ben Stiller for Tropic Thunder
Downey Jr. and Jay Baruchel (Knocked Up) will star in this upcoming comedy about an over the top war epic that goes to hell in a hand basket during filming. In the film, the actors end up taking on the commando-like roles that they are supposed to be only portraying in the movie. Downey Jr.’s character represents the finest actor of his time while Baruchel plays a relative nobody.
Ben Stiller, Justin Theroux and Etan Cohen wrote the screenplay and Stiller’s own company, Red Hour Films will produce the flick along side DreamWorks Pictures. The film is set to start filming in July.
