Scarlett Johansson went in and out of love for Woody Allen in both Match Point and Scoop. Looking to form an official trifecta, Johansson has agreed to star in a third, untitled Woody Allen project.
What can we say, she loves Woody.
Scarlett Johansson Joins Woody Allen Trifecta
Maybe it is Woody who loves Scarlett, having the beautiful actress star in three of his four last films. Johansson will join Rebecca Hall, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz for the film.
Though the quintessential New York filmmaker, the untitled project will be the fourth consecutive production that Woody Allen has shot outside the US. All of Allen's previous films were shot in London and his latest project will shoot both in Barcelona and Asturias.
What caused Allen's departure from filming in the States? It is not that he is looking for new scenery, as the reason rests strictly on budget. Allen used to have an agreement with local studios who would hand the director approved budgets long before seeing a script - something that gave Allen complete creative control. When grosses dwindled, Allen lost this privilege and was forced to set up similar provisions in England.
Production on the untitled project will begin after the July 4th holiday.
