Sherlock Holmes
Warner Bros has recently learned that it is "elementary" on which franchise is their next best choice for adaptation.
Warner Bros Adapts a New and Improved Sherlock Holmes
Warner Bros. will adapt a reimagined Sherlock Holmes who as it turns out is not only a detective but an action-adventure sleuth. Hard to imagine how Sherlock could possibly keep his hat on during duress, but that is what Lionel Wigram has planned. The producer will team with Warner Bros to help deliver Sherlock to the bigscreen.
Neil Marshall has already been picked up to helm the comicbook adaptation, with scribe Michael Johnson to pen the script.
Though the story is still under wraps, Warner Bros claims that Sherlock Holmes will feature the same "edgy way" that Christopher Nolan gave to a reimagined Batman Begins.
Wigram has experience with creating franchises thanks to his involvement on the first three Harry Potter films. The producer hopes to play up some of the detective's overlooked traits including playing up his skills as a bare-knuckle boxer and expert swordsman as he goes about solving crimes.
