After picking up Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy for the upcoming action film, Wanted, Universal Pictures thought a little eye candy was in order. And what better eye candy than the lovely Angelina Jolie?
Angelina Jolie is Wanted
Universal Pictures has picked up Jolie to star alongside James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman in the adaptation of the graphic novel, Wanted.
Jolie has set the action film as the next project on her to-do list.
McAvoy will play a young man who discovers his father is an assassin, only to learn shortly thereafter that his dad has been murdered. The youth is drafted to follow in his father's footsteps. Jolie will play an assassin who teaches the ropes to the wannabe killer.
Jolie will be able to use some of the skills she learned from the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith to help teach McAvoy what it takes to be a successful assassin.
Jolie had eyed the project ever since a screenplay appeared from scribes Michael Brandt and Derek Haas. She didn't agree to the role until Lara Croft Tomb Raider scribe, Dean Georgaris, tailored the role for her.
Jolie has been getting close to Universal ever since she agreed to star in the Clint Eastwood drama The Changeling.
Other films on her plate include A Mighty Heart and Beowulf.
