Though I am still not exactly convinced on The Condemned and its Surviving the Game premise, I do have to admit that the artwork for the film pushes bravado to the next level.

An adrenalin-charged action thriller, The Condemned tells the story of Jack Conrad (Stone Cold Steve Austin), who is awaiting the death penalty in a corrupt Central American prison. He is “purchased” by a wealthy television producer and taken to a desolate island where he must fight to the death against nine other condemned killers from all corners of the world, with freedom going to the sole survivor. The producer films the illegal event, airing the killings live and uncensored onto the internet.
I don't know what Lionsgate is thinking calling this little piece of joy artwork, as it is way better than the film's original poster.

OK, OK, I have had a chance to watch the trailer again in Windows Media and do admit that the film does look like some fun, yet senseless, action. The helicopter running into the cliff - very cool. If I can only get over this direct-to-video premise we should be fine. Hopefully Lionsgate can convince me with clips later on.
The Condemned has a theatrical release on April 27th.
