It looks like the sunken beast, Titanic, can't stop the love between Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Joining up with DreamWorks Pictures, the two have agreed to co-star in Revolutionary Road.
DiCaprio, Winslet for Revolutionary Road
Revolutionary Road doesn't have anything to do with staying green does it? After DiCaprio nearly blew Al Gore on stage during the Oscars I had figured he'd make it a point to have his next project be about saving the trees or something.
The film, which has nothing to do with driving the revolutionary Prius by the way, will be directed by Sam Mendes and is based off the 1961 novel by Richard Yates about post-war disillusionment.
Yates' story follows a seemingly happy suburban couple with two children in the mid-1950s who find themselves caught between their true desires and the pressure to conform -- with explosive consequences.
"As one of the most venerated post-war American novels, it is both fitting and thrilling that it's come together with this extraordinary group of artists," producer Scott Rudin said.
Though DiCaprio and Winslet have a history, Revolutionary Road marks the first time Mendes has worked with either actor.
