Now that Emile Hirsch has been selected to get
behind the wheel for Speed Racer, the young actor blow-dried
his hair and stepped in front of a camera to give a minute-plus announcement/interview.

It's not really an interview
but more like a compilation of responses from Emile Hirsch on being cast
for Speed Racer. How does he feel about the film? Well,
considering that he gets wood every time he thinks about the Matrix
trilogy, Hirsch is just amped to be doing a project with the Wachowski brothers.
I don't know what script Hirsch has read for the project, but he makes some
bold claims that make the film sound more fantastical than, well, whatever
the hell Speed Racer is supposed to be. Unless, of course,
that's how Speed Racer is - then I guess he's right on
the money.
