The Golden Compass
When I did my "Book to Film" on The Golden Compass I pointed out that New Line Cinema might encounter a dilemma delivering a film that puts a little girl in danger. Fortunately for us, it doesn't look like danger has held the studio back at all.
Judging by a first-look, teaser trailer, thingy for The Golden Compass, the film will come jam-packed with action and adventure.
Leaked First-Look: The Golden Compass
I can't wait to see how Chris Weitz handles daemons. These are the animal creatures that accompany every human. To make things even more complicated for the special effects crew, the younger daemons have the ability to morph into any animal that they want.
You can see Lyra's daemon morph a couple times in what looks to be a leaked first-look for The Golden Compass. Since this video comes at us still early in production, much of the special effects have not been completed yet.
