300
The people at Warner Bros are currently celebrating, burning hundred-dollar bills and sipping Cristal thanks to three solid weeks of box office success. The Warner Bros. hit, 300, may have been defeated domestically by another Warner Bros. property, TMNT, the film is still killing er, Persian invaders in the UK.
International Box Office: 300
The U.K. box office is loving 300, as the film's bow pushed the country's weekend take up a whopping 69% from the week before; up 30% from the same weekend last year.
With its few known names and epic quality, Warner Bros. knew that 300 would do well overseas; consider it their backup plan just in case things went wrong domestically. Since both Troy and Kingdom of Heaven killed it overseas during their theatrical run, it comes as no surprise that 300 was the biggest thing since sliced Immortal over in England.
How well has the foreign territories done for 300? According to the latest numbers from boxofficemojo, 300 has accumulated $79.6 million already overseas - bringing its total cume to $241.3 million worldwide.
