Ben Stiller
Ben Stiller is sticking close to family films and even more so CG animations. The actor will return in a Madagascar sequel, Madagascar: The Crate Escape, and is now looking to at least take up the role of producer for DreamWorks latest CG attempt, Master Mand.
DreamWorks Sets Up Team for Master Mind
DreamWorks Animation veterans Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson are attached to make their feature film directorial debut with Master Mind, a satirical take on the superhero genre centering on a supervillain who loses his joie de vivre after accidentally killing his archrival, Uberman, in the opening scene of the movie. The duo has worked on tons of other animated projects including Shark Tale, The Prince of Egypt and Shrek.
The story was created by Alan Schoolcraft & Brent Simons. The duo is now busy penning a sequel to Small Soldiers for DreamWorks.
"They have put the film on the fast track, which in animation terms means it will be coming out in the next 15-20 years," Stiller joked.
As of right now, it would seem that Stiller's role in Master Mind is limited to producer. That should change, however.
"Stiller's creativity and signature sense of humor will lend itself perfectly to this project," DWA CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg said.
