I am not much of a horror buff, so imagine my lack of excitement before watching Black Christmas on DVD. One of the seemingly-hundreds of horror remakes finding their way into our homes, at least Black Christmas had some entertainment value.
Whether the entertaining elements were done on purpose or not, I cannot say.
Black Christmas on DVD
Like many horror films, Black Christmas is all about the gore. If you are one of those moviegoers who would have sex with the horror genre if you could, then I already know there will be no turning you away from this DVD. Being unrated should also spark interest, helping the DVD hold on to strong violence, nudity, gore and sexuality.
I was hoping for even more nudity, but left the film with more blue er, lights than twinkling cheer.
It is a horror film that exploits the original, so we might as well exploit the remake.
Though the original Black Christmas did garner a cult following, it looks like the remake was made to earn some extra skrilla.
To give it some originality, the film is packaged like an R-rated "Faces of Death."
Good times, for those who can continue eating while watching.
