Though we will have to wait until May 22, 2009,
before the first feature film from James Cameron since Titanic,
Avatar, a couple (possible) teaser posters have begun to
float around the net.
Avatar Poster?
Avatar, is an epic, 3-D sci-fi film about an ex-Marine
on an inhospitable planet where humans can only survive by projecting their
consciousness into genetically engineered bodies (a.k.a. ''avatars''). The
people of earth want to exploit the planet's natural resources, of course,
causing the inhabitants to revolt and a war to break out.
The poster to the right first appeared over at Joblo
and has now popped up on multiple entertainment sites across the net. It's
nice, but the latest teaser poster looks even better. If it were possible,
however, to use the 'Avatar' font and the space cloud found in the first
poster (pictured right) and apply that to the latest (possible) teaser poster
for Avatar (picture below), we could really have something
here. Even if this poster does turn out to be legit, it seems pretty dang
early to have any media for a film due out in 2009.
