Green Arrow
With The Flash not looking to be the next notch on David Goyer's belt, the writer/director has jumped over to another comicbook to help set the stage for a different take on Green Arrow.
Goyer's Green Arrow
According to a report over at Wizard, Warner Bros. has purchased a new pitch from Goyer called Super Max, a film that would revolve around a wrongly convicted Green Arrow.
The comicbook character would be taken to a super max prison created for out-of-control heroes and (super)villains. Green Arrow will be forced to face off against multiple fellow inmates. Goyer is working on the flick with scribe Justin Mark.
According to Goyer, Super Max isn't just a Green Arrow film. Not that this isn't a bad thing, considering that the franchise has yet to be exploited by Hollywood.
In a somewhat risky move, Goyer plans to take the Civil War approach by revealing Green Arrow's identity at the beginning of the film.
“He’s Green Arrow for the first 10 minutes of the movie, and then he’s arrested and his secret identity is revealed,” says Goyer. “They shave his goatee and they take his costume and send him to prison for life, and he has to escape. It’s like ‘Alcatraz,’ and he has to team up with, in some cases, some of the very same villains he is responsible for incarcerating in order to get out and clear his name...”
