By now most of us have heard the rumor that Orlando Bloom will be killed in the final Pirates
of the Caribbean installment.
The move would definitely open up Bloom to other large franchises, including the sequel to Superman Returns.
What? Where the hell did that come from?
Bloom to Fly from Pirates to Superman?
Turner may be killed/removed to get Bloom out of a possible-iffy-maybe Pirates 4. Thanks to my recent obsession with gossip blogs (for a new site I'm developing, obviously), I came across a strange quote in Pagesix of the New York Post. Now, it is Pagesix, a column that I do believe found some sort of relation between batboy and President Bush - so the news was gossip-worthy at best. But now sites such as Joblo are reporting on it, so why not join in on the fun?
According to Pagesix, Orlando Bloom, Superman Returns producers Mindy and Jon Peters, and the movie's director, Bryan Singer, have been spotted eating together at the Tower Bar restaurant in Hollywood. Now, I don't know what spy equipment the spectators had, but they claim that the group was (obviously) discussing the sequel to Superman Returns. Considering that I can't remember a single instant that puts Bloom remotely close to Singer before this event, one would then have to assume that Orlando Bloom may be negotiating for a role in the Super sequel.
Bloom in a Superman movie? Jumping from one ginormous franchise to the next? What's that bring the sum to:
Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean and Superman.
How about we switch things up a bit and try an indie film, huh buddy?
