Which actor will steal the show in this one? Denzel or Forest?
Past Oscar winners and two of the very best actors of their time, Forest Whitaker and Denzel Washington will star in Denzel’s new fact based drama, The Great Debaters. And ladies, if you’re worried about this being a testosterone fest, I only have one thing to say to you. CHILL THE EFF OUT! Oh , sorry. What I meant to say is, have no fear, Oprah Winfrey and her Harpo Productions are one of the producers of the film.
Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker are The Great Debaters
Washington will play the “Robin” to Whitaker’s “Batman” in the film. The former will be a debate coach who shapes a group of college nobodies in East Texas that ends up going toe to toe with Harvard’s debate team in the 1930’s.
Remember the Titans it may not be, but any time Denzel is going to be pumping up the troops, you got to bet your money on it. Whitaker will play the father of one of the students who feels like he is losing his role as a father to the coach.
