Edward Norton
The replacement for Bruce Banner has been found and, though I'm shocked to hear it, Edward Norton will be the next green machine.
Edward Norton for The Incredible Hulk
Marvel Studios has announced that they have signed on Edward Norton to star in The Incredible Hulk, a sequel with an opening set for June 13th, 2008.
Norton is jumping aboard the project after doing a string of indie films including Down in the Valley, The Painted Veil and The Illusionist. The actor will take over for Eric Bana while Louis Leterrier will sit in a director's chair that once belonged to Ang Lee. Though the original, Ang Lee-directed Hulk opened strongly, it still didn't fare as well as most other comicbook adaptations.
The Incredible Hulk will be the second film fully financed by Marvel Studios thanks to their financial backing at Merrill Lynch.
Just in case you haven't seen any of Leterrier's work, feel free to go out and rent Transporter 2 or Unleashed.
The Incredible Hulk was written by scribe Zak Penn, the same writer who delivered Fantastic Four and two of the three X-Men films.
