After all the debacle about whether there would be more Spider-Man installments after Spider-Man 3, Sam Raimi has confirmed that there will likely be a whole other trilogy. Well, maybe not exactly a trilogy, but another three installments.

The Los Angeles press junket featured an announcement from Sam Raimi confirming that Sony is ready to not only do a Spider-Man 4, but a 5 and a 6. The good people at ComingSoon were the first to post on it.
Spider-Man 3 director Sam Raimi confirmed that Sony Pictures is doing a 4th, 5th and 6th installment of the popular franchise.
Raimi said that he hasn't had time to think of any involvement and he doesn't want to presume Sony would want him to direct.
I sent an email to Fred to see if he has any official wording on the subject. Stay tuned for that.
