The ‘four horsemen’ are no more. Alex and Mookie are asking Dreamz why he double crossed them at Tribal Council. They aren’t about to go down without a fight.
Survivor Fiji Rundown: Episode #11
Earl says “The power is on our side and we’re six strong.” Stacy and Cassandra are getting close now since they are the only two women left. They are excited that they no longer have to worry about the ‘four horsemen’. They jokingly say they will be lucky if they feed them.
As Alex and Mookie continue to grill Dreamz about the vote, he makes up a story as to how they all got ‘played’. He continues to act like he was as surprised as they were about Edgardo being voted off.
The tribe comes into the clearing for the reward challenge. They will once again be divided (randomly) into two teams. Each team will have one member launch a ball from an oversized sling shot. The other members must try to catch the balls in a catch basket – think hai lai. The catchers are in a muddy field. This could get ugly. The first team to catch five balls wins. The reward is toiletries and a trip in a seaplane to a spa resort. The winning team also will choose a member of the losing team to send to Exile Island. There is a clue to be found there for the newly hidden immunity idol.
Yao-Man is launching for the orange team. (Yao-Man, Boo, Mookie and Cassandra) Stacy is launching for the green team. (Stacy, Alex, Earl and Dreamz) Catching the balls are not as easy as one might think. Footing is very bad in the mud and there is much slipping and sliding. Then it starts to get a little rough. Survivors are holding and tripping each other trying to catch the balls. They are playing dirty – pun intended. Boo goes down and Jeff calls the medics for what Boo reports to be a knee injury. He gets up and we hear a loud pop. I guess whatever popped out popped back in. He chooses to continue with the challenge. Green wins 5-4. They opt to send Boo to Exile Island. This is payback for living in the luxury camp the entire game.
On Exile Island Boo finds the clue to the whereabouts of the immunity idol, “Back at your very own beach - by a single tree easy to reach”. Boo decides the best thing for him to do right now is just rest his knee.
The winners are flying to the spa still covered in mud. The first thing they do is get into a nice warm shower. They wash off all the mud and are loving being clean and smelling good. Our players are sitting around a table in robes eating. They find it very awkward having Alex there. Alex asks Earl if he or Mookie will be the next voted off.
After returning from reward, Mookie and Dreamz are talking. Mookie tells Dreams he thinks Yao-Man has the immunity idol. Mookie takes it upon himself to search Yao-Man’s bag while he is out fishing. He ‘finds’ the idol inside Yao’s pants pocket. I think this goes beyond playing the game fairly.
Alex and Mookie go away from camp to talk about how to get Yao-Man to reveal he has the idol. Cassandra and Stacy had been nearby talking to each other. They hide to try to overhear what Alex and Mookie are saying. Alex and Mookie are discussing confronting Yao at tribal council and asking in front of everyone if he has the idol. They plan to force him to turn his pants pockets inside out. They are sure the others in his alliance will then side against him. Alex and Mookie decide even if they are being voted out they want to go out blazing – like Scarface. At this moment Stacy moves and makes enough noise to alert the guys they are in the vicinity.
Alex and Mookie begin running back to camp to get to Yao-Man before the girls. “It’s time to raise some hell.” They tell him they know he has the idol because they ‘found’ it in his bag. The bottom line is they want to know if he wants them to tell everybody he has the idol or will he tell them himself. Yao-Man tells them to do what they think they have to do. He also says he doesn’t think it will change much. Yao-Man tells the other five Alex is blackmailing him. People are pissed. Dreamz says it’s going to change a whole bunch of stuff. Yao-Man worries the worst case is for Alex or Mookie to win immunity.
Jeff tells us the immunity challenge will require a strong memory. Each player is to choose a block of three squares in a row, either across, up and down or diagonally from a grid. They will take turns choosing a coordinate thereby knocking out their opponents – think Battleship. The game is so random people are getting their own squares. Ultimately Stacy wins immunity.
Now the strategizing begins on who to vote out. Is there the possibility Alex or Mookie could have found the other idol? Just in case ‘the six’ decide to split their vote between Alex and Mookie. Alex tells us in an aside no matter what happens he is going out swinging.
At tribal council, Jeff asks if the reward challenge showed how people are willing to play. There is some talk about the rats and snakes coming out. Mookie then reveals he ‘found’ the immunity idol in Yao-Man’s bag. Earl replied he is pissed about it. Alex goes into a lecture about Karma in this game and how it has a funny way of working to immediately turn things around. He continues that past actions foretell the future – huh? I thought this guy is a lawyer not a yogi. Talk about Karma – Alex the rat, votes for Mookie saying he is “just trying to stay another day”. The vote is Alex – 3 Boo – 1 Mookie – 4. Mookie, dude, I knew you shouldn’t have given Alex the immunity idol last week. You could have saved yourself. And then he turns around and stabs you in the back. Jeff concludes tribal council by saying it sounds like there is one strong group of six and Alex. Alex is either the odd man out or very valuable.
Will the tribe decide to make Yao-Man play his idol? Will Alex be able to split ‘the six’ and align himself with what he hopes will be the final four? Who of the lucky seven will be able to Outwit – Outplay – Outlast?
