For all those people thinking that Spider-Man 3 would go the way of Grindhouse…well then you’re an idiot.
Spider-Man 3 Breaks Records in Asian Territories
The film opened up in some Asian and European markets and for all intents and purposes, blew the roof off of old records for opening day. In Japan, it beat out its two predecessors and took in $3.47 million. In Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Tawain, the Philippines, and Tatooine, Spider-man 3 set new opening day records.
The film will open up on more screens this coming week in the U.S. than any movie in history beating out the old record set by Shrek 2.
Put your seatbelts on. The summer movie blockbusters are here and the only thing they are interested in is the opening weekend numbers. Let the battles begin.
