Though we figured this week would be dedicated to Spider-Man 3, wouldn't you know it if Disney felt like throwing a cock block by releasing a couple, I don't know, new TV spots for Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End.
Wait a sec, they did released two new TV spots for Pirates 3. Let the competition begin!

Game on. With Spider-Man 3 set to enter theatres within 24 hours, the battle is on for who will be the biggest box office grosser for May -- Spider-Man 3 or Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Both films have budgets neither studio likes talking (or thinking) about, and both have been dishing out media non-stop in an effort to reap box office gold.
Disney has delivered the latest goods with two new TV spots for Pirates 3 available over at Yahoo! Movies.
The first spot, "Stand Together", looks absolutely lovely with a re-introduction to characters old and new. Oh yeah, the little monkey still has a lot of influence in the films.
The second spot, "Are You Prepared", claims that all 'secrets' will be revealed (though I can't remember any) and promises that this installment will not disappoint.
Kudos to Yahoo! Movies for offering the TV spots in both a flash-like player and Quicktime HD. Seriously, job well done.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End opens to theatres on May 25th.
