Though our forums agree that Kevin Costner's top two films were Field of Dreams and Dances with Wolves, I must admit I am a little shocked that nobody went with Silverado. The actor is now looking to make a big return with a couple different-for-him films coming our way with the addition of Swing Vote.
Kevin Costner for Swing Vote
Directed by Joshua Michael Stern, Swing Vote is an indie election comedy that revolves around a single father thrust into the national spotlight when the presidential election comes down to his vote.
The film will mark the first project to come from Costner and producing partner Jim Wilson's new banner, Treehouse Films. The shingle will represent projects that are produced fully by Costner.
"Treehouse will give me (the) opportunity to shepherd projects from the ground up, with the goal of aligning partners of a like mind," Costner said. "Swing Vote fits right into that mold," he added.
Stern will direct off a script written by himself and Jason Richman. Costner plans on selling the film at Cannes.
